I don’t disagree that a short-term stimulus to workers would help boost demand and wages in a time of crisis. But we should keep in mind that any cash giveaways are really just loans that we will eventually pay back through inflation.

I do agree, though, that the Federal Reserve should be put under strict Congressional oversight.
