Protests on college campuses have become like protests in Washington, DC. They’re just part of the aesthetic now. If we want the cost of tuition to go down, we need to stop providing universal loans to everyone, which guarantees universities a fresh flow of cash. The reason they can hire all these people and build ridiculously expensive dorms is because they know no matter how much tuition rises, Uncle Sam will pick up the tab up front.
