This is so good. With the suburbanization of America, so many people in the middle class have never actually met a poor person in their life, simply because they never frequent the same circles. The healthcare aspect is especially poignant. I don't know of any other country in the world that has health insurance so tightly tied to full-time employment at a decent company. The healthcare market is royally screwed up, and millions of Americans die prematurely because of it.
