This is very ill-advised. Britain had an agreement with Belgium to protect its sovereignty. The world would be better off, and Nazi Germany would have never existed if Britain had told Belgium it was not going to honor its agreement and that its best course of action would be to get on its knees and beg Germany for mercy. Belgium wasn't worth the destruction that WWI unleashed. Some countries are large, others are small, but everyone--especially the small fries need to learn their place in the world.
